Purpose: The Health and Safety focus group meets monthly at Hall Middle School and seeks to monitor and improve District practices in the following subcategories: Education/Prevention, Emergency/Disaster Preparedness and Facilities.

Essential Questions:

• Can this include community issues?
• What are the results of the Healthy Kids Survey?
• How do we influence other community programs?
• Disaster Preparedness – the role of PTA vs. the school site?
• Do we have consistent emergency procedures?
• What are we doing in preventative education?
• How do we work together with the community?
• How do we educate other parents?
